Your first home does not have to be your dream home — and it definitely doesn't have to look like an HGTV reveal on day one.
Housing affordability IS a real issue. But so are buyer expectations, and I think we should be able to talk about both.
I work with buyers every day. Sometimes the conversation is about adjusting expectations. Sometimes it's about finding a home where they can build equity over time.
And sometimes my advice is simply: don't buy yet.
My job isn't to sell every person I meet a house. It's to help them make a good real estate decision — even when that decision is not buying one.
